Magic Bars

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or peanuts, your preference
1 (14oz)  sweetened condensed milk

Combine butter into graham wafers, pat into 9 by 13 inch pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, and coconut over crust. Pour sweetened condensed milk over everything. Bake at 350, for 25min. Or until golden brown. Let cool completely, then cut into squares.

Peanut Butter Crackles

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
Granulated sugar
Chocolate candy stars

In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In large bowl beat butter and peanut butter until well blended. Beat in sugars until blended. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well mixed. Shape dough into I inch balls. Roll in sugar. Bake in ungreased cookie sheets, at 360 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and quickly press chocolate star firmly in the centre, cookie will crackle. Cool completely.

2 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. orange juice
Sparkling white wine to fill the glass
In a Pitcher:
2 cups cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1 bottle sparkling white wine

Thistle Lane’s Layered Pumpkin Cheesecake

Ingredients:

Crust:

1 cup graham wafer crumbs,
1/3 butter
Mix crumbs and butter together. Press into 8 or 9 inch spring form pan. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.

Filling:

3 pkg cream cheese
3/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup pumpkin
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
Dash of each: cloves, nutmeg and ginger

Mix together cream cheese, sugar vanilla and eggs. Divide mixture in half, too one half add pumpkin and spices.
Pour the plain batter over the crust, gently top with pumpkin batter.
Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until the centre is set.
Let cool completely!
Best taste for cheesecakes is the day after they are baked!

Top with either a drizzle of chocolate or caramel and add a dollop of whipping cream! The next day call a friend and make yourself a pot of coffee. Enjoy!
